Missouri
Public Health Leadership Institute
Fellows from the Missouri Department
of Health are responsible for travel costs to and from the sessions held
at the Mercy Retreat Center. In addition, Fellows are responsible for the
Mercy Retreat Center costs of the session. Those who are residents at the
center are responsible for a cost of $148 per session, while those who
commute are responsible for a cost of $72 per session. Other expenses such
as books and materials are covered by the Public Health Leadership Certificate
Program.

South
Central Public Health Leadership Institute
The SCPHLI program is a year long commitment.
In order to derive full benefit from the Institute and to contribute fully,
participants must be willing and able to commit to the following:
- To devote the time required including reading the materials sent in preparation for Institute activities.
- To attend and actively participate in all sessions of each of the three on-site
programs. These are scheduled in the fall (Oct/Nov) in Louisiana
and in March and September. The March and September sessions rotate among the
other three states.
- To work with a mentor and actively participate in a team based project that
focuses on the solution of a state or regional public health problem.
- To participate in scheduled telephone conferences and read materials sent in
preparation for the conferences.
- To participate in evaluation activities of the Institute by completing self
assessment instruments and completing program evaluations.
