Missouri Public Health Leadership Institute
Because the program is supported through a contract from the Missouri Department of Health, admission to the program is limited to those practitioners working within the public health system. Eligibility may be expanded to individuals from other private or public health agencies or from the community involved in serving public health as coalition members, volunteers, or as appointed members of committees, task forces or executive boards. These individuals will complete the same application process and meet the same admission requirements, but will be supported through private or grant funding.
Eligibility was limited to state, district or local administrators with a bachelors degree from an accredited academic institution, at least two years of experience in their position, a willingness to commit to completing the entire certificate program and permission to attend the program during work hours. Admission to the program is free of charge to the individual unless academic credit is desired (scholarships may be applied for to support part of the tuition for six academic units). Graduates will be invited to continue involvement as consultants/coaches to teams in future cycles.
