Buckeye Bluegrass Regional Leadership Academy
The Buckeye Bluegrass Regional Leadership Academy is designed to strengthen organizational structure and leadership of local health districts in Ohio and Kentucky by aligning leadership development with organizational strategies to address future challenges. There are two major approaches:
Track One is designed for teams of mid to senior public health professionals who will:

  • Develop a strategic plan and succesion plan
  • Identify high potential candidates for development
  • Support development opportunities for these emerging leaders
  • Develop skills in mentoring, coaching and leading change

Track Two is designed for emerging leaders who will participate in a year long, individualized approach to develop the competencies needed for more senior level leadership roles. Components include:

  • One two-day residency session
  • Bi-monthly teleconferences or webinars
  • An independent active learning assignment or project
  • An independent learning plan (IDP) based on self and 360 assessment
  • Access to a mentor and coach

Curriculum, content and support for both Tracks will be available primarily through teleconferences, webinars and other distance learning.
