Heartland Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma Regional Leadership Institute (KMOLI)
The KMOLI Regional Leadership Institute provides public health leaders in Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma access to a comprehensive, competency-based leadership development experience to improve public health practice.  KMOLI goals and objectives include the following: 1) support the development of a comprehensive network of regional leadership institutes; 2) strengthen an academic/practice collaboration model, 3) enhance leadership knowledge and competence of federal, tribal, state and local health officials and other professionals; and 4) utilize technology mediated learning, alumni development and networking events, and annual critical issue discussion forums.  The program is designed to enhance the public health infrastructure through improving the leadership competence of public health leaders in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. The curriculum is designed to help individuals develop transformational leadership knowledge, skills and competencies in areas that are vital to improvement of organizational capacity in each partner state. The design of the program utilizes four methodological approaches over a year period, a sequential development format, which includes: 1) personal growth experiences, 2) conceptual development, 3) feedback, and 4) skill building.
