Northwest
Regional Public Health Leadership Institute
The NWPHLI offers a year-long learning
experience designed to increase participants’
community leadership skills
through on-site and distance education.
Public health professionals from diverse
backgrounds and organizations study and
work together to develop health leadership
skills that apply to their organizations
and communities. The goal is to
create integrated and innovative approaches
to building healthy communities.
Faculty members experienced in
community health leadership worked
with alumni to develop a curriculum that
is organized around five content modules:
current public health challenges,
leadership skills assessment and development,
collaborative community leadership,
crisis leadership, and mentoring and
coaching.
