National Partners


HC has provided technical assistance to APHL on workforce development and serves on the APHL National Center for Public Health Laboratory Leadership Advisory Board which is focusing on Laboratory Leadership and Workforce Development Programs.


Work with ASTHO has included collaboration on “Public Health Ready,” joint membership on the “Collaborative,” and collection of racial composition data for the public health workforce in conjunction with the National Public Health Leadership Development Network.


HC collaborates with the Center for Risk Communication to develop and refine five levels of workforce development curriculum on Risk and Crisis Communication, including completion of a 2 CD-ROM Program Set on the topic.


Collaboration with the CU A-CPHP, including the School of Nursing, has involved work on the NACCHO Project “Public Health Ready” and technical assistance on competency framework development projects.


HC continues to expand collaboration with NACCHO through co-sponsorship of regional training events such as Incident Management for Public Health, serving on the NACCHO Workforce & Leadership Advisory Committee, and an ICS CD-ROM development project and plans for another regional conference.


HC has collaborated with NALBOH in relationship to local board leadership development and linkage to the National Public Health Leadership Development Network.


HC is part of a national rural health workforce development interest group.


HC has worked with the TPLDNEC in conjunction with the National Public Health Leadership Development Network to market several products and curriculum relevant to Collaborative Leadership development.


Collaboration with the School of Public Health at UIC has recently resulted in development of Learning Management System (LMS) with similar capacities to form an integrated approach to expand access to workforce assessment, development, and evaluation in the Midwest region.


Collaboration with Iowa has resulted in development of Learning Management System (LMS) with similar capacities to form an integrated approach with the UIC A-CPHP to expand access to workforce assessment, development and evaluation in the Midwest region.
